Rick Johns led eight of us down the Missouri Saturday, and it was amazingly picturesque, if you like pictures in the rain.
It was a steady downpour all day, really never let up. Winds doubled just as we were shuttling and loading boats. We were glad we weren't on the water at that point.
We left at 12:01 p.m. and the lead paddlers in our group made the take-out around 3:15 p.m.
